In this Statement, "BeamMe", "us" "our" or "we" means BeamMe Pty Ltd. "You" refers to the consumer receiving information by SMS on demand through one of our clients.
We are fully committed to the protection of client and consumer personal information.
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Under the Act, we can choose to develop and be bound by a Privacy Code or choose to comply with the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act. We have chosen to be bound by the National Privacy Principles.
When you activate a BeamMe request on a BeamMe customer website, the only information about you that BeamMe obtains is your mobile phone number and the number of times you use the service. That information is used by us mainly for accounting, reporting and administrative purposes. We may use aggregated information collected from total use of the BeamMe service for marketing and promotional activities, but that will not include direct marketing to you.
The information that you receive is information supplied by our client(s) that you can review in advance and that you request be sent to you. The SMS message is sent to you by third party telecommunications aggregator who is contracted to BeamMe to provide this service at no cost to you.
We will not pass your mobile phone number to our client, nor will our client be able to access your mobile phone number.
The information we collect from you is strictly confidential. We will not reveal, disclose, sell, rent or pass that information on to any third parties unless they are contracted to us to keep the information confidential or are required to comply with all relevant laws including the Privacy Act 1988. Services that we may contract out include service provisioning, communications tour clients, debt collection, and I.T. services. We impose strict security and confidentiality requirements on how contractors are to use any personal information supplied to them.
