Advertising on BeamMe can be used not just to offset the cost of SMS but also generate a significant revenue stream for your website. If you get a lot of traffic you could use the technology as a sponsorship play or pay per impression. The best thing is that people sending Beams are seriously interested in whatever it is they are sending so they can be considered very warm leads.
To set up your account for advertising you must contact us. We can negotiate a rate based on your requirements. We can also develop campaigns and response mechanisms for your client ad campaigns.
A Beam Advert consists of 130 characters that is attached to the bottom of your Beam. If you are in a country that does not support concatenated or multiple SMS messages your BeamAd will be sent as a separate SMS.
Here is an example:
SYDNEY COSTUME HIRE
Snog the Frog. Closest to the CBD.
For opening times and address visit

There is also a small banner that is placed within the Beam Box when it is clicked upon, this adds extra value for the advertiser and it can be clicked once the message has been sent.
Once the system is active you will see an extra panel within a website called 'ADS'. When you click here you will see 'New Ad' and 'Placements'
All you need to do is select 'New Ad', fill in the advert details, click 'Save Go Live' and your ad will be instantly delivered to all Beams on your website.
You can have as many adverts running as you like. They will be rotated evenly amongst all users and Beams.
Yes, you define placements which are special ID numbers which can be used to target adverts. Using Placements will require some extra coding from a developer so let us know if you need any assistance.
A Placement is an optional category you define and control. It is defined as an ID number that can be assigned to a certain criteria of your site.
Eg. For a realestate site placement ID 1 could be assigned to Homes for Sale, placement ID 2 could be assigned to Homes for Rent
This effectively allows your advertisers to target users more relevantly.
To create a Placement select 'Placements' then select 'New Placement' enter the name of the Placement and click 'Create' You will see the Placement ID it the column to the left. It will also appear in an added parameter in your Beam code when you select it fro 'Advertising Placements'
