Add Beams to your site in minutes

The BeamMe.Info system uses a simple code generator that allows you to copy and paste the code that creates the Beam Box directly into your website. The code generator can produce a Beam that uses static text or you can also replace the text with a variable that allows the Beam to be generated dynamically

Message Text

Your message can be up to 6 SMS in length. Modern phones stitch together multiple messages, however please note that you will be charged for each SMS (160 chars) according to our published rates.

Reporting Tags

Use Reporting Tags to identify Beams in your Reports.

For example, a real estate web site may want Homes for Sale as a tag in one code block and Homes for Rent in another.

Tags *must* be separated by commas.

Examples:

Tip: Overlapping tags is a powerful reporting technique (see examples 2 and 3 above).

Security

Your can lock your account to a URL, domain name and IP address. If your Beam code is installed on a website that is not listed in your security settings then the Beam icon will be inactive and display a security message.

The Beam Icon

Beam Icon Beam Icons can be placed anywhere on your website. As the icon becomes more widely used, users will naturally come to look out for it and recognise that it stands for a free and secure service.

The Beam Code

The code is a small piece of Javascript that you insert next to the relevant piece of content on your site. You can easily edit the message at any time directly from your site code without having to go back to the BeamMe website.

Positioning the code

The best place to position the code is directly below or above the content for easiest display of the beam icon, however if more precise positioning is required it can be placed anywhere using CSS.

Using a database to populate Beam code

We have designed the beam code block to accept variables from most scripting languages used on the net today. You can utilise a database to automatically generate Beams.
